Due to staff vacations, we are totally closed from February 12 until March 6. This will replenish our energy-levels, and we are back in business and serve normally from March 7 onwards.

We are closed during the weekend January 19-20 due to a maintenance project
We are closed from Christman Eve to Boxer Day (24-26 December). After that we are open normally from December 27 to December 30. During the New Year (December 31 to January 1) we are open from 2pm to 9pm. We wish a very good end of the year for everybody!

As nice as summer is, it is a fact that September begins this week. Our opening hours from the beginning of September onwards are as follows: Mon-Tue closed, Wed-Fri 4-9 pm, Sat 3-10 pm and Sun 2-9 pm. In cabin rental issues we serve every day, as usual.
On Saturday August 4 there will be dozens of old cars in Haveri. Of the roughly 60 cars, the first are expected to arrive in Haveri at around 10 am, and the last at around 2 pm. The times are approximate. Welcome to see the old beauties!
From June 1 onwards our info-centre is open every day: Mon-Thu 4-9pm, Fri 2-10pm, Sat 12am-10pm, Sun 12am-9pm.
There are two additions to our Hot Wings menu: Very Veggies -croquettes (rice croquette containing fruits and vegs) and Chili Cheese Nuggets. Both carry the price of 1,20 € each. The menu can be found in the Food and Drink -section of our pages. Welcome to have a try!
The traditional Kultaharkko gold panning competition takes again place in Haveri on May 17-18 2012. The competition begins on Thursday at 1 pm and continues until 4.30 pm. On Friday the competition resumes at 10.30 am and finishes at 12.30 pm. The schedule is preliminary. There is a free entry to the site.
Our opening hours indicate that the summer is close. From May onwards, we are open Wed-Thu 4-9 pm, Fri 4-10 pm, Sat 2-10 pm and Sun 4-9 pm. From June onwards we are open every day. In cabin rental issues we serve every day throughout the year.

Next week we will move towards more spring-like opening hours. From the beginning of March onwards we will be open Thursdays 4-9 pm, Fridays 4-10 pm, Saturdays 2-10 pm and Sundays 2-9 pm. From Monday to Wednesday the Information Centre will be closed, but in cabin rental issues we serve naturally every day.
Urheilusukeltajat ry (Helsinki) diving club has been approved to dive in Haveri. Altogether there are now 17 clubs with a licence to dive in the mine.

The December storms hit Haveri too, but luckily there were no major damages. Despite our hopes, the ground is still not covered in snow. We remain waiting!

Three new diving clubs (Hyvinkään Urheilusukeltajat ry, Marine Iquanas ry and Rauman Laitesukeltajat ry) have been approved to dive in Haveri. Altogether there are now 14 clubs with a licence to dive in the mine.

In the nearby Inkula Bridge there is a traditional Midsummer Bonfire and alcohol-free celebration for the whole family on the Midsummer Eve from 8 pm to 9 pm. The programme includes accordion playing, bonfire and sausages. The event is organised by Inkulan holvisilta ry.
During the Midsummer the information centre is open from the Midsummer Eve (Friday 24 June) to Sunday 26 June from 12 am to 10 pm. We wish everyone a happy Midsummer!
On Saturday May 14, 2011, it will be ten years since we started operating in Haveri holiday village. To celebrate, there will be coffee served all day long.

Kultahaverin Vapaa-aika wishes a happy new year 2011 to all our customers and partners! Let 2011 be even better than the previous year.
In 2010 these pages received over 11,000 individual visitors from 64 different countries. An average visitor checked 11 pages and visited the site for about 4 minutes. The diving calender on these pages was used by diving associations to make nearly 100 dive reservations to Haveri open pit.
From here it is nice to continue to the winter and spring vacations!
Our information centre is closed for the Christmas week (20-26 December 2010), but we naturally serve in cabin rental issues. The new year opening hours are normal, since the new year is at the weekend.

During the May Day celebrations the information centre is open as follows: Friday (30 April) 1 pm – 9 pm, Saturday (1 May) 1 pm – 9 pm and Sunday (2 May) 1 pm – 9 pm. After this we serve from Wednesday to Friday 4 pm – 9 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 1 pm – 9 pm.
The gold panning competition Kultaharkko 2010 will be held in Haveri holiday village on May 13-14. The eighth Kultaharkko competition gives an opportunity for everyone from children to grandparents (and professionals) to try gold panning. On Thursday May 13 the competition commences at 10.45 am, and on Friday the start time is 10.30 am. More information (in Finnish) www.kultaharkko.com.

Haveri holiday village is located about 35 kilometres northwest of the city of Tampere. The holiday village situated adjacent to an old gold mine, which provides a breath of old mine milieu. There are over 30 cabins and other services in the area, situated by the shore of the large Lake Kyrösjärvi. On these new pages you will find more accurate and complete description of the Haveri holiday village, the cabins, leisure services and meeting facilities for businesses.
The holiday village is especially suitable for those seeking the pure Finnish nature, for families with children, for different societies, as well as businesses. For groups we can provide meeting, restaurant and recreational services. There is also a café selling light refreshments and basic foodstuffs. In the winter, in addition to enjoying the fresh outdoor air, it is possible to trek, ski and fish through a hole in the ice. In the vicinity there are several other types of recreational services available.

Karbidi (Carbide) is a six-person cottage right in the heart of the holiday village and in the immediate vicinity of the Information Centre. The cabin has been totally renovated in 2008, and provides high quality accommodation. The cabin has two separate bedrooms, a living room, sauna and an exterior terrace.
Karbidi is the old health clinic of the Haveri gold mine. It was moved into the mine area in 1949 from the Mätäsvaara mine in eastern Finland.
Carbide is a compound composed of carbon and a less electronegative element. Carbide lamps were used in mines in the early 20th century. They produced a brighter and more stable light than the oil lamps.

Kultakartano (Gold Mansion) is a five-star cabin in Haveri holiday village. The cabin has two large living rooms which can be transformed into meeting or group work facilities. Beds are available for ten persons, and the sauna houses two stoves: a traditional wooden stove and a modern electric stove. There is also a wheelchair ramp into the cabin.

Kultakuume (Gold Rush) is a high quality cabin in the heart of the holiday village. It is usually rented together with Kultapii, bringing the housing capacity to 10 persons. Kultakuume itself can house 8 persons. It is especially suitable for families with children. Outside the cabin there is a children’s playground (with swings) and a small ‘cabin’ for children.

Korvento is a term used by the mine workers, meaning the mark left by an exploded drilling hole in the stone wall.
